In Europe, Yamaha has launched the new Tricity 125, a three-wheeled scooter (two on the front) that is more rider-friendly for new riders, including those with an A1 class license. Not only color and style changes, Tricity 125 2022 also involves various other improvements.
The complete chassis of this scooter has been changed to make it more robust and comfortable for the user. With this, Yamaha was able to create a design that had a wide footrest as well as a re-tuned two rear shock absorber settings.
The 125 cc Blue Core SOHC single cylinder engine with fuel injection system in Tricity 125 2022 now reveals Euro 5 emissions phase and with CVT automatic transmission counterpart it can produce 12 hp power and 11.2 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm. 6,000 rpm
To make the operation of this engine more energy efficient, it is also fitted with a new starter generator control unit (SGCU) with smart motor generator and a start / stop system which can now operate more smoothly.
The front two wheeler setting of this scooter uses LMW Ackerman steering system which gives a more natural and reliable feel and it has different sized rims than the rear. The front rim is 14 inches with 90/80 tires and the rear has a 13-inch rim with 130/70 tires.
This scooter has disc brakes on each wheel but Yamaha does not equip them with ABS system. Instead, they use the same Unified Braking System (UBS) system as Honda’s combined brake system (CBS), where it will distribute some braking power to the front wheels if the rear brakes are tightened.
While sitting on this scooter, the driver has a new LCD instrument panel in front that can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth to display various important information, as well as call notifications, messages, emails and social media.
Other benefits offered by Tricity 125 2022 include a keyless system, storage space under the seat that can accommodate a helmet, 7.2 liter fuel tank, 785 mm seat height and LED type lights.
