Toyota has acquired the 2023 Venza Nightshade Edition, a more standard feature

Toyota everything outside the nightshade. The 2023 Toyota Venja Nightshade Edition has become the latest (probably 13th) offer to be black-trimmed. This is just another example of the many popular “black out” look packages popular with consumers these days.

However, Venza Nightshade allows buyers to get Toyota Star Gauge panoramic roofs at a slightly lower price. Electrochromic glass allows residents to freeze glass from transparent to the touch of a button. Normally it is only offered in range-topping limited trim, but Toyota is also offering it in Nightshade, which is based on mid-range XLE.

The company has not yet announced the price of the Venza Nightshade, but it will probably slot between the za 36,775 Venza XLE and the za 40,730 Venza Limited.

For those black trimmed here, Venza Nightshade doesn’t disappoint. There is a new one Acrylic front grille trim, while the bottom bumper features front and rear smoked chrome molding. Gets a shiny black color Hybrid crossover side mirror cap, door handle, sharkfin antenna and rocker panel. Black roof rails are also available.

The Venza Nightshade is also a 19-inch variant available in roll, XLE and limited trim on glossy black wheels. Dark badges and interior trim look off. Nightshade Venza is available in three premium exterior colors, Celestial Black, Ruby Flare Red and Wind Chill Pearl (white).

New to all Venzas for the 2023 model year is Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5 suite driver aids. This includes enhanced pre-collision sensing that can detect pedestrians and vehicles at intersections while taking a Venza turn. Helps forward warning systems with audible alerts, emergency braking and steering. TSS 2.5 also includes adaptive cruise, lane tracing, road sign recognition, automatic high-beam and rear seat reminders. Although not part of the TSS, Venzas also comes standard with rear cross traffic warning, rear automatic braking and blind spot warning. For 2023, LED fog lamps are ideal for XLE, Nightshade, and Limited trims.

Built on Toyota’s TNGA-K modular platform, the Wenger’s only powertrain is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery for 219 horsepower. It is mechanically almost identical to the RAV4 hybrid AWD.
