The extended Touch ‘n Go card has been recovered since this morning – completely sold out

Earlier this month, it was announced that the next batch of enhanced Touch ‘n Go cards would be available for purchase in June, but it appears that the new stock has already arrived.

Social media users said they were notified this morning via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app that they could buy NFC-enabled cards again, but like the first batch, it all sold out incredibly fast – just a matter of hours.

Demand for the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card has been high from the start, as the new card retails for RM10 – the same as the previous version without NFC – but has enabled users to top up credit using their mobile devices.

This makes it much more convenient because users no longer have to search for a kiosk or go to the counter to top up their cards. The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card is linked to the TnG eWallet app, the latter is required for any reload. A detailed segmentation of the extended Touch ‘n Go card can be found here.

In view of the popularity of the card, those who resell the card at a higher price than the RM10 retail price are looking to capitalize on the high demand, low supply situation. One of the lucky ones to get your hands on the Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card? How has your experience been with it so far?
