BMW is going to keep the 3 Series up to date with the latest refreshments of the luxury sedan. The 2023 3 Series features new styling and new screens for instruments and infotainment.
Front redesign sees the majority. The headlights have been simplified, with little extensions missing along the bottom edge The lighting elements have also been changed. The front bumper and lower grills are also new, as are the rear bumpers. All the changes give the car crisper edges and flattened planes for a more geometric shape like the iX electric crossover. Now the standard black accents and trimmed out, and there are some new colors and wheel designs. If you choose the M340i, it will come with front, rear and wheel throwback BMW Motorsport Roundle to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW’s M division.
The iX is also inspired by the Instrument and Infotainment screens. The instrument display is 12.3 inches, and the infotainment screen is 14.9 inches. They are both placed on a curved display panel that sits on top of the dashboard. As a result, the center air vents have been redesigned. In addition, BMW has been fitted with a new shifter. Several new features have also been added, such as three-zone automatic climate control and cloud-based navigation.
Otherwise, the 3 Series is almost all portable. It is again available with a standard turbocharged four-cylinder, a turbo straight six or a plug-in hybrid turbo four. Rear-wheel drive standard, all-wheel drive available. Only an eight-speed automatic is available as a transmission. Pricing has not been set, but it is expected to be announced around the July on-sale date for the new 3 Series.
