Saga MC2 launch time Facelift 2022 This morning, Proton CEO Lee Chunrang revealed that in the next two years (2023 and 2024), the local vehicle manufacturer will launch three new models for the Malaysian market.

The closest we can expect is a model that uses a base from Geely Haoyue (as it has already been seen several times on the road), which will probably be Proton’s largest SUV and will be called the X90. However, we still don’t know if this upcoming model will use a five or seven seat setting.

In the Philippines, the model, which uses the same base as the Okavango, produces a simple hybrid system with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a seven-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission 190 PS /. 300 Nm power, in China it is equipped with a four-cylinder petrol engine. A 1.8-liter cylinder that produces 181 hp and 300 Nm of power with the same transmission coupling.

The next model could be an MPV, which also uses the base of the Geely model, named Jiaji7 Version Facelift This model has already started appearing in China, and interestingly, it is available using Proton’s Infinite Weave Grill, such as X70, X50, Persona, Iriz and Saga.

At the time of Jiaji in China, the model was given a 1.8-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 181 hp and 300 Nm of torque, as well as a version Plug-in hybrid It uses a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with an electric motor to produce 255 hp and 385 Nm of power.

Through photo spyshot We can also see Jiaji’s model Facelift It has got several exterior detail changes including taillights, light reflectors, badges and a chrome finish on the rear bumper. There are also some changes in the interior that make it more tidy.

Another model that we are hoping to come up with is not Proton, but will be sold through Proton Eder. It’s smart # 1, which is Crossover Full of electric Mercedes-Benz styling and made by Gili. It was launched in the world market just last month.

As previously reported, Proton Eder has been designated as the official importer and distributor of smart brands in Malaysia and Thailand, and will be the # 1 first model to represent its resurgence in the ASEAN automotive market.

Built on Geely’s Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform, using # 1 battery Lithium ions 66 kWh which can provide 440 km range according to WLTP standard. It powers an electric motor that delivers a maximum of 272 PS (200 kW) and 343 Nm at the rear wheels.

It should also be noted that at the moment there is no sedan larger than the Proton Persona and we can expect the introduction of its successor model which uses the premise basis.
