Malaysia’s first Miss Junior GP podium in Spain

Malaysia’s Siriyafuddin Ajman is better known as Damok to motorcycle racing fans. During the weekend race at the Valencia Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Spain, Damok finished fourth in Race 2, behind final race winner Jose Antonio Rueda and second and third place finishers Filippo Farioli and David Salvador.

For SIC racing in the FIM Junior GP Class on the single-cylinder Honda NSF250R, Damoc Race 1 finished seventh, saying there were many complications in the race. “I almost crashed a few times but I managed to finish the race on the P7,” says Damoc, Post Race.

Race 2 saw 21-year-old Puchang, fighting for points in the lead group at Selangor. “I had a few crashes in front of me that slowed me down as well as my teammate Facundo (Lambias). I was lucky to be able to evade his bike if he crashed. I pray for her to get well as soon as possible, “said Damoc.

Despite almost collapsing in the heat and process, Damoc was able to hold the lead group but had to settle for fourth place, finishing just 0.615 a second from final race winner Rueder. With two races in the 2022 Junior GP calendar so far, Shearifuddin is now in eighth place in the championship with 22 points.
