Rapid KL LRT has announced new spacing for Kelana Jaya Line and MRT Kazang Line. Long intervals begin today (May 26) and enable train upgrades for the safety and comfort of passengers.
The frequency of the LRT Kelana Jaya line is now every four minutes for peak hours and every seven minutes for off-peak hours. This is for Monday to Friday. For weekends and public holidays, train every seven minutes for the whole day. Previously, the shortest interval for the maximum working day was 2.5 minutes.
For the MRT Kazang line, every six minutes for the new frequency peak hour and every 10 minutes for the off-peak hour. This is for Monday to Friday. For weekends and public holidays, this is 10 minutes per train for the whole day. Previously, the shortest interval for a maximum working day was four minutes.
