We’ve all seen it, someone breaks the law and escapes, especially when it comes to road users on Malaysian highways, even more so when it comes to emergency lane misuse. But sometimes, karma actually hits the counter, as a highway user using emergency lanes finds time to cut long queues of holiday traffic.
In a TikTok video taken from a large vehicle lined up in a long line of traffic, a white Proton X70 is seen making its way across the highway in an emergency lane. Police highway patrol car directly in front of the unidentified, heavy vehicle of the offending driver.

The Proton X70 happily zips to the left, and the patrol car pulls out immediately, turns on the light bar and chases the emergency lane abuser. Sometimes, there is such a thing and there is immediate revenge and justice for the wrongdoers, especially those who shamelessly break the law when other road users comply in the interest of the common good.
Malaysian police have implemented a strict enforcement policy during the Hari Roy Puasa period, cracking down on road users and abusers. In addition to normal speed traps and roadblocks, police are using drones to identify and capture rows of jumpers, as well as GoPro cameras for surveillance and crime detection.
