From 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660, RM50k in Malaysia

During the media launch of the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and Rally Explorer, the 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 Adventure-Tour was also on display, priced from RM49,900. Selling in Malaysia since last February, the Tiger Sport 660 is available at Lucerne Blue, Sapphire Black Dan Graphite / Black, with a red and graphite color variant retailing at RM50,900, excluding road tax, insurance and registration.

The Tiger Sport 660 is based on the Triumph Trident 660 (RM43,900), which carries the same inline-triple engine. The Tiger Sport 660 is claimed to deliver 80 hp at 10,250 rpm and is rated at 64 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm, with power reaching the ground via a six-speed gearbox and chain final drive.

More biased towards the touring side of riding, the Tiger Sport 660 is designed for road riding with a larger 17.2-liter fuel tank than the Trident 660’s 14-liter unit. Similarly, with adventure-touring styling, the Tiger Sport gets the same decorative suspension as the Trident 660, but with 150mm travel, the seat holds 835mm.

The TFT-LCD Instrument Panel is specific to the Tiger Sport 660, with connectivity to the MY Triumph app via Bluetooth as an optional accessory. It provides rider connectivity to a smartphone and GoPro camera with specific functions for both being able to control via the handlebar switch pod.

The standard on the Tiger Sport 660 is two ride modes – Road and Rain – with two-channel ABS and switchable traction control for off-road duty. Braking is done by Nissin, single-piston caliper clamping twin-two-piston caliper with 320mm discs and 255 discs on the front wheels and wheel sizing 17-inch front and rear, Michelin Road 5 tires 120/70 and 180/55 sizes.
