The Ford F-150 Raptor R has been throttling around the limbo for over three years. Ford teased his arrival more than a year ago, we saw a half-dispersed prototype behind a Ram TRX in the vicinity of Michigan. The Bistlier Dun Runner is expected to hit the market later this year, with the engine expected to be the lowest bet of all time: the 5.2-liter supercharged Predator V8 known as the Mustang Shelby GT500. Ford authorities Landed on its Instagram page Raptor connection, A page with a photo shot inside a Ford Build facility The pictures show a build sheet with the words “MY2023,” “Raptor C,” and “5.2L”.
Three more pictures are meant to strengthen the circumstantial evidence. One is an image of a supercharged engine that looks exactly like the Predator V8, its supercharger branded with the word “Raptor” instead of “Shelby”. In the lower corner is a shot of a car detail sheet, the word “carnivore”. We’re guessing, but it looks like a decent renaming for a truck version of the Predator engine – especially one that’s going to be a victim of the T-Rex.
Finally, a 2023 Raptor 4×4 Supercrew powered by a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 has a window sticker listed – it does not point to a Raptor R – is transmitted via a ten-speed transmission. The sticker was drawn from the VIN listed on the car’s detail sheet. The only equipment difference between the current Raptor with this Monroe and the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is the Recarro Black Leather seat instead of the usual black leather seat and the change from the 7,150-pound GVWR to 7,450 pounds. The truck described on the sticker comes with 37-inch tires and 17-inch fake wheels.
Rumor has it that about 750 horsepower, less than ten ponies on the GT500 but 48 on the TRX, if that’s the final number. Motor trends It was reported a year ago that “development trucks experience durability issues with the blown V8 whenever it is raised somewhere within the 600-horse upper limit,” so it is possible that the final figure sets a low bar. The MT Reported on the Raptor R’s alternatives with less power than the TRX, Ford is using its advanced equipment and technical specs to surpass the RAM. If all goes well with the world, we will find out this fall.
