You won’t miss the Memorial M 1000 RR in a parking lot: it ends up in a striking color called Sao Paulo Yellow, borrowed from the BMW M palette. It also gets the M Carbon package, which comes with a fender, top fairing side panel, tank cover, a chain guard and a sprocket cover made of carbon fiber. Finally, BMW M has added billet packages that include billet aluminum parts such as engine protector, folding brake and clutch lever, front brake lever guard and rider rearset. The BMW M’s heritage-less emblem, appearing on full-fledged M cars in 2022, adds a finishing touch to the look. This logo was first used on BMW M’s race cars in 1973.

BMW made no mechanical changes, meaning the 423-pound 1000 RR’s power comes from a 1.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 205 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 83 pound-feet of torque at 11,000 rpm. It takes about 3 seconds to hit 60 miles per hour from a stop and the motorcycle continues to move until the speedometer displays 189 miles per hour. The engine rotates the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission and a BMW M endurance chain that is typical for the Memory model. A number of driving aids (such as wheel control) are standard.
