Known for its off-road tires in Malaysia, BFGoodrich has updated its on-road touring offer with the launch of Advantage Turing. Designed to cover a wide range of sedans, pick-up trucks, MPVs and SUVs, the new rubber – which replaces the Advantage T / A drive and SUV models – offers less noise, more stable handling and braking, and more efficiency.
Key features include an asymmetrical, non-directional trade pattern with a simpler, more dynamic design, which not only mimics the brand’s road racing tires but is computer-optimized to reduce cabin noise. Rigid tread blocks and shoulders provide more responsive handling and control, while larger block designs and deeper grooves provide better wet and dry braking performance.
Elsewhere, interlocking band technology reduces friction and heat, resulting in improved fuel economy. The optimized contact patch is designed specifically for markets with “severe heat conditions” such as Malaysia.
BFGoodrich Advantage Touring is now available at all approved BFGoodrich dealers nationwide, although no pricing has been announced yet. Marked as a “one-stop” tire, it is offered with a surprisingly wide lineup of sizes 13 to 20 inches in diameter. A total of 67 tire sizes (including H, T and V speed ratings), of which 30 are new.
