It looks like the 2022 Yamaha NMax 155 will get a color update for Malaysia, probably right after Hari Roy Puasar. In terms of pricing, we collected from market sources, the price of NMax 155 may be 2021, RM8,998, or maybe a bit higher due to the ambiguity of exchange rate and shipping cost.
There is no word on what the new color options will be, although we can expect at least two new color schemes for the 2022 NMax, carrying one color from last year. The 2021 NMax was available in the Malaysian market in two color options, Power Gray and Icon Gray and your guess is as good as ours which will hold.
Also, don’t expect changes to NMax’s engine room with power from single-cylinder, SOHC, 155 cc VVA engines. Power output is claimed to be 14.9 hp at 8,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, with rear wheels via CVT gearbox and belt drive.
According to the 2021 NMax, LED lighting made an appearance last year, so it can safely assume that its specifications will not change, including four low LED beams and twin high beams and a four LED tail lights. Inside the cockpit, a monochromatic LCD display shows the rider all the necessary information.
Riding amenities include smart key operation, a USB charging port and idle start-stop while a 23.3-liter storage bogie is found under the seat where the fuel tank contains 7.3-liter fuel. In the case of ABS, it has been installed as standard equipment in Thailand and Europe, and as a model variant in Indonesia, so we expect the necessary safety equipment to arrive in Malaysia this year.
