To celebrate Mercedes-AMG’s 55th birthday this year and to mark the occasion, the company has released a special “Edition 55” version of the current A45 and CLA45 (sedan and wagon body styles). These join other version 55 cars that the company has already released based on the A35, CLA 35 as well as the G63.
Available to order from now until December of this year, the new version 55 releases come with a number of aesthetic improvements that are part of a tool package offered to customers at a surcharge of 14,280 euros (RM65,242) or 12,614 euros (RM57,630). S variant of A 45 and CLA 45.
For payment, you’ll find the AMG Aerodynamics package which includes a large front splitter with extra flick, a new rear wing, extra trim at the wrong rear air outlets and a diffuser blade, all painted in high-gloss black.
Shed finish is also applied to other components such as trim material for exterior air intake louvers, AMG side seal panel inserts, beltline and window line trim strips and side mirror caps and AMG night packages as part of the standard AMG night package. 2. If that’s not enough, the model badges on the boot cover and wings are high-gloss black, while a black chrome finish for the panamericana grille and the louvers of the tailpipe trims.
Mercedes-AMG version 55 offers two colors for the models, namely Cosmos Black Metallic and Digital White Metallic. Both come with car side decals that play the traditional AMG symbol and suggest AMG rhombuses to be gray to transparent. Other details include a 19-inch AMG cross-spoke imitation wheel with a high-sheen rim flange of titanium gray color and a center cap with “Edition 55” material, including an AMG fuel filler cap.
Once inside, you’ll find black and red themes, including AMG performance seat upholstery. The standard AMG performance steering wheel at Dynamica Microfiber has an “Edition 55” badge and 12 black markings.
Also standard is the red illuminated AMG door seal panel, black velor floor mats and dark trimmed aluminum trim material with accents that follow the theme. The company throws a silver car AMG logo on the cover of a black car with each purchase.
