2022 Lexus NX in Malaysia – brand new SUV for booking, 2.5NA for RM371k, 275

Lexus Malaysia has announced that the brand new, second generation Lexus NX SUV is now open for booking in Malaysia, and offers two versions; NX 250 luxury variant, price RM380,888 And the price of the NX 350 F Sport variant RM389,888. There are prices on the street without insurance, and without sales tax deductions which are due to end on June 30 this year

The NX 250 Luxury variant is powered by a 2.5 liter naturally ambitious engine rated to produce 204 hp at 6,600 rpm and 243 Nm of torque from 4,000 to 5,000 rpm, while the NX 350 F Sport has a 2.00d47 Pro Charge engine. Rpm from 1,700 to 3,600 rpm and 430 Nm of torque.

The drive initially goes to the front wheels, although the electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system will change the torque distribution between the front and rear axles as needed. The transmission AI is equipped with an eight-speed auto with shift control, which employs a camera to scan the road ahead and adapt its shift protocol accordingly.

The underpinning of the second-generation Lexus NX is the GA-K variant of Lexus Global Architecture, which offers 30% more rigidity than previous-generation vehicles for better handling and control, Lexus says.

In terms of safety equipment, the 2022 NX’s standard is the Lexus Safety System Plus (LSS +) suite, which includes a pre-collision system (PCS) for pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). With stop-and-go function and adaptive high-beam system (AHS).

For additional driver assistance, there will be Road Sign Assist (RSA) which will read the posted speed limit, Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) and Parking Brake Support (PKSB) which controls the engine output and applies autonomous braking while operating parking techniques.

The Infotainment on the 2022 Lexus NX comes courtesy of a 14-inch touchscreen unit, with support for Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. Both the NX’s Luxury and F-Sport trim variants are featured with ambient lighting, offering 64 color choices, including 14 pre-defined colors, and the light is well embedded in the car door panel, center console and feet.

An additional advantage of the 2022 NX is the e-latch door opener, which enables the occupant to open the door with just a push of a button and a mechanism will open the door, where two separate movements are required to pull a handle on conventional doors and then push open the door.

Eight colors will be available for the second generation of the 2022 Lexus NX, including Sonic Chrome, while the more powerful F Sport variant will get two exclusive colors according to Lexus Malaysia. Meanwhile, the NX Cabin gets a choice of interior colors in black and dark rose, where the Laxury variant is trimmed in Hazel. The cabin of the Sportier F Sport variant can be specified in Black or Flare Red.
